Members of the CSN staff visit the remote teaching facilities from which the Polytechnic University of Valencia and Titania deliver the Master Course on Radiological Protection at Radioactive and Nuclear Facilities

On November 13th 2012, a delegation from the Nuclear Safety Council (CSN), made up of the counsellors Rosario Velasco and Fernando Castelló and their technical advisors Diego Encinas and María Fernanda Sánchez, along with the Head of Core Engineering, Fernando Pelayo, visited the remote teaching facilities from which the part-time attendance Master Course on Radiological Protection at Radioactive and Nuclear Facilities is delivered.  This course is directed by the Polytechnic University of Valencia and coordinated by Titania, a spin-off of this university and Grupo Dominguis.  Among the issues dealt with during the visit were possibilities for collaboration in training and future projects, for example those relating to the internationalisation of the aforementioned master course, specifically in Latin America.  Accompanied by the Managing Director of the Group, Héctor Dominguis, the Director of Titania, Adoración Arnaldos, and the Coordinator of the Master Course, Patricia Mayo, the visitors learned of some of the more significant nuclear and radiological protection R&D projects that are being undertaken by the companies of the Group, along with Titania and the UPV.

On December 13th the two CSN counsellors and the Council’s Sub-Directorate for Emergencies, led by Ramón de la Vega, attended the official inauguration of the Grupo Dominguis Innovation Centre at the Polytechnic City for Innovation complex.
