Reconstruction of medical images

The reconstruction of medical images in radiodiagnosis is a fundamentally important stage to guarantee the acquisition of images suitable for diagnostic interpretation by a doctor.

Specifically, in computerised tomography (CT), a set of projections obtained by a scanner is used to reconstruct the structure of the organs.  The objective in this project is to analyse and develop different image reconstruction algorithms with a view to minimising reconstruction times, thereby optimising the resources of the system.
